Sunshine at last!

How nice it is to see the sunshine again! We had to take our dog Pickles to have her vaccinations this morning, and it was quite a long car journey. She thought she was going out for a run, only to be ushered into the vets to have a needle stuck in her. Then another long car journey home! We couldn't take her straight back indoors, as we felt that was unfair so we stopped of at Townend Common, (known locally as 'The Football Field' to give her a run. All this rain has left it looking very lush, and I couldn't help but take a photo of it to show you. All this, and only 5 minutes walk from our home! Moving to Yorkshire was the best move we ever made. It is beautiful! For those of you who may read this blog and not know, I have my daughter Sindie and her family, (husband Gary, and daughters Emily and Livvie) living within 5 minutes from us as well as two of my sisters with their families. That makes this whole Yorkshire experience even more enjoyable. I am looking forward to visiting my son and his family in Gower, South Wales next weekend, which is another lovely place to live. I will take some photos, (weather permitting) and post a couple when we get back.

Oh it does look so peaceful Sandie, did pickles enjoy a run?

How is her tremors with weather now? and is she all better from whatever it was that ailed her (an overactive bladder I think)

Pickles always enjoys her runs!! She used to be just frightened of loud bangs and thunder. Now she is frightened of rain as well, because she thinks that leads to thunder!! The medication she is on for an over active bladder is working perfectly, thank goodness!! Could perhaps do with some of that stuff myself! Hahaha!

Yorkshire is a beautiful place, all people see on tv is industrial Sheffield.I like it when I lived there, but enjoy Spain more, who would not with Tina round the corner.

How sweet! Who wouldn't enjoy your weather in Spain? Are you going to do a blog as well?

What lovely photos Sandie and doesn't the grass look wonderful in the sunshine? I'm afraid that the weather forecasts is saying more rain!
Thank goodness we all live on high ground, but my heart goes out to all the families that don't!

You complained about Emily not leaving any blogs and it's ages since you did. I look forward to a nice long one when you return from your week-end, complete with photos!

That field is commonly known as 'Parsonage', actually. Unless it's a 'teenage thing', of course! =]

I don't want it to rain anymore. I'll stamp my feet and run around in circles if it does!

Oh, and I agree with Auntie Leeta- you can't have a dig at me about blogging when you don't do it yourself! So ner =P

The official name is Townend Common, as printed on the planning papers attached to fences, but I call it the football field. Perhaps it is known by everyone else as Parsonage:0)
